What is Telephone Counselling?
Telephone counselling  provides a personalized, understanding, and confidential service for individuals wanting to make changes in their life. Services are designed primarily for persons living in an area or having circumstances that make attending regular sessions with a therapist difficult.
Counselling is a confidential, supportive and understanding relationship between you and your counsellor. A session allows a space to express feelings, thoughts and behaviours. Together you and your counsellor explore ways of making change and enhancing your quality of life.Counselling is not an advice giving session. Nobody is more qualified than you to give advice about your life. The aim of counselling is to help sort out the details of your life and empower you to make choices that are best for you

What happens in counselling? Counselling over the phone works very much the same as if you where attending in person. Sessions are 50 minutes in length.  They are structured and governed by the same code of confidentiality and conduct as in person sessions.

How does it work?
The First thing we do is talk about what is going on in your life and what you would like to change. Then it is usually helpful for the counsellor to get a bit of background information and personal history. From that point things usually unfold organically. Sessions are conducted from a client centred perspective, meaning the direction and content of sessions is up to you. The counsellor will help you look at things from a new perspective, helping you gain insight and clarity. Then building on that insight and clarity you and the counsellor begin to work on a plan to help you achieve your goals..
Telephone Counselling can be an effective way of helping you with many problems including:
Anxiety, Stress, Divorce, Separation, Family problems, Self-esteem, Self-image Grief, Loss, Loneliness, Feeling lost, Stuck, Shyness, Anger, Phobias, Alcohol, Addiction, Gambling, Feelings of emptiness or Sadness
